Here is the tale
Of hearts that failed
The work of pain would leave no trail
A young close pair
Bright smiles they’d wear
Whose love was tested and was dared
The girl whose name
His lips would tame
A frozen Eden, this picture frame
She’d fall like rain
For this bright new flame
And he rejoiced she felt the same.
Her want for help
and love for self
Left him bankrupt by love’s scarce wealth
A man whose love
Blessed from above
Only at first was it enough
They shared their time
A love sublime
But their two souls were poorly bind
There was yet him
A third of them
Who’d fight for her and soon would win
The loser still
Would lose his will
The hole in his heart would not be filled
His eyes would cry
He’d die inside
And love would fail to testify
The girl, by fate
Would realize her mistake
But he’d be gone, it was too late
